PARAKLETOS ROOTS
The Greek word "parakletos" (παράκλητος), commonly translated as 'advocate,' 'comforter,' or 'helper,' refers to someone who is called to one's side to provide assistance, support, or intercession. Or as we like to refer as –The One Who Walks Beside.
Parakletos Collective was founded in reference to the verses of John 14:16-17:"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate (Parakletos), who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you."
We are never alone, always with an 'advocate,' 'comforter,' 'helper' or PARAKLETOS by our side – the Holy Spirit. God has created these amazing places on Earth that we get to call our playground. He is with us everywhere we go, sharing both our joy and our sorrows. When we board, he's with us. When we ski, he's with us.

Kia ora from New Zealand! I'm Emma, founder of Parakletos Collective.
Most of my life, God and my love for the snow had always been separate, and because of it I nearly burst rock bottom.
Long story short, after spending a semi-short lifetime immersed in the worldly snow culture and the dark path it lead down, I wanted to see some change.
And you know what they say, if ya can't find a path, carve one.

PARAKLETOS AMBASSADOR
Christianity has always been a part of my life, but that means nothing if Jesus himself isn’t at the center of your life. I can vividly remember the day Jesus became real to me, and since that day I constantly strive to live my life in a way that makes Jesus glorified and myself made low rather than thinking that I am my own god. I also have a deep love for the snow and ripping down slopes on my board, however having worked a ski season, and seeing the dark side of that life I can’t sit back anymore and keep my faith and my hobbies separate. Jesus is the only way I was able to make it through some of the darkest moments in my life so what right do I have to not share him with everyone I meet.

Whilst the Greek word "Parakletos" is used in the Bible in reference to the Holy Spirit and what we have available to us – Parakletos Collective aims to bring those characteristics of advocate, comforter and helper into the snow, surf and skate culture.
PARAKLETOS COLLECTIVE MISSION:
This world has partnered God's playground with lifestyles that more often than not lead down a dark road. We all struggle. We all have mates who struggle, and the culture of our sports can lead us down some dark paths. Stand out, be a light.
